"7" Underground

2009 Procedure and Rules of "7" Underground Dance Crew Battle

"7" Underground  is a  dance crew battle where all  dance crews will compete for Cash and an opportunity to be featured in upcoming shows with “7” Underground. This is your chance to be seen and show what you are about. We will have judges from the entertainment industry and our executive staff.

Age Restriction: All crew members must be 18 years and older.

All crew members must be resident of California.

All crew members must fill out a registration form and submit copy of birth certificate along with a picture ID.

All crew members must sign a waiver and release form.

Each routine can be no longer than 4 minutes. All routines over 4 minutes will automatically be eliminated.

Each crew will prepare 3 routines. All crews will participate in the first round. Then the top 3 crews will perform their second routine, and then the top 2 crews will perform their third routine and go head to head. The last crew standing will take home up to $1000.00

Music for  must be on CD in order of performance - Each group will turn in CD clearly marked with Crew Name and routine # 1, 2 , 3 and Song Titles

Music CD’s must be turned in no later than  July 15, 2009

This will be a ticketed event Spectators are $10.00 at the door or $7.00 presale.

· Decisions and talent selection of the judges shall be final and not subject to review. No correspondence shall be entered into with any contestant or their representatives at any time regarding the choices or decisions made by the Contest Judges.

· Contestants must follow the directions and instruction given to them by all representatives of  
“7” Underground at all times during the competition. ‘7” Underground and its representatives reserve the right to dismiss anyone from the contest at any time if they have not complied fully with the rules or have failed to show proper respect to staff, contestants, judges and others.

This will be an exciting showcase opportunity to perform in front of a live audience. The event will also be taped. Each crew will have the opportunity to purchase a video of their routine(s) only.

However, no audio or video recording of the event will be allowed at any time, except as specifically conducted and produced by Summertime Entertainment.

Parts of the competition  process may be photographed, recorded or videotaped for promotional purposes, to be televised later, or for the production of a documentary film or DVD of  “7” Underground and Summertime Entertainment project. Each contestant shall be required to sign a release and indemnification form, allowing  “7“ Underground and Summertime Entertainment, full rights to the use of any and all photographs, video and audio recordings for promotional and/or broadcast purposes. Best Dance Crew 09 is being coordinated by Summertime Entertainment and “7“ Underground, an entertainment production company that promotes and stages performances and training opportunities for all performing and visual and spoken word artists.
